Hello everyone! It`s Victor in touch. Today I am going to share with you my story about how I ended up in Mobilunity internship program. Everything started with my university graduation. I understood that having a bachelor degree in logistics without any experience in this field wouldn`t give me benefits in job searching. After four years of studying logistics, I realized that this wasn`t exactly what I wanted to do in my life. Moreover, I’ve been interested in Tech news for a long time. I read such sources as the verge, Engadget, wired, polygon and others. Being a part of IT community gave me some feeling of enjoyment that I hadn`t had before. Then there was a moment when I realized that consuming content is not enough for me. I wanted to create one as well, share my opinion about different things, tech releases, events etc. At the beginning, I knew nothing about search engine optimization and why it is important.
Firstly, I created my personal blog about all those things written above. And the domain name was my name and surname. Funny, isn`t it? Who’s gonna read blog about tech with name and surname in the URL field? 🙂 Something was wrong for sure. I wanted to write so badly, still my writing skills were, hm… saying not good isn’t enough to say.
Next step was creating my CV for companies who hired copywriters, rewriters, content managers, etc. It was a tough task, but I had fun in the process. I found a lot of free tools to create interesting CV, like infographics, for example. Of course, I didn`t enter “marketing internship Kyiv” in Google Search because I knew nothing about it. A few days later I got a call from an HR-manager Anna who was taking so fast that I didn’t actually understand in which company she works. She said that they wanted me to join their online marketing internship program, and there I’m supposed to learn SEO jobs in Kyiv. What is SEO? What is an Internship program? Surely, I wanted to be an intern but my final goal was to work at Mobilunity. All in all, having a piece of apple is better than having nothing, do you agree?
“WOW”, – I thought after hanging the cell phone. So here I am. But the things aren`t as smooth as I thought. Here you need to work hard! Actual work 🙂 Waking up at 7 a.m. in order to arrive in office on time and coming back home at 8 p.m. But I do like it. To be honest, before all this serious stuff I preferred to play games, listen to podcasts and enjoy myself. Now I simply don`t have time for much entertainment. On the other hand, all this situation made me better. I learned how to set priorities between important and not important things.
Finishing up, my little tip for you is – learn something important every day and you will be better. Stay Awesome and follow next posts!
